the packing ring is housed into a groove. it can not be lost and in addition the groove prevents the seal from being radially extruded when the indicator is tightened.
this location of the packing ring allows also the use of a soft rubber which guanrantees better and easier sealing.
these oil level indicators are resisitant to relative high pressure , test results on request.
